Join us for our weekly lunch meeting Tuesdays in Breckenridge @ Fatty's Pizzeria (106 South Ridge Street) 12-1pm

arc Thrift Stores is now the largest social enterprise in Colorado, and one of the largest nonprofits in Colorado - and perhaps two years away from being the largest. Each year, the arc Thrift Stores generates nearly $90 million in revenue and they anticipate doing $100 million revenue by 2020.  The arc Thrift Stores is also the largest funder of advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities, one of the largest employers of people with intellectual disabilities in Colorado, one of the largest employers in Colorado, as wells as one of the largest recyclers in Colorado.

"Why Not Them" - Lloyd Lewis's account of personal transformation and how he revolutionized a company by employing persons with disablities has a postive message that heals and inspires. More than just a story of personal triumph, or trials of a father and his son born with Down syndrome, its about the commitment to a dream, a community, and to advocacy for those in need.

Our speaker, Luke Stahmer, has served on the Arc board for over a decade, including chairing two executive committies.  He has taken a full-time role doing community relations and business development with an emphasis on sharing the successes of Arc in the community.  He has extensive experience as an executive in both profit and not-for-profit endeavors.  He co-created the Dare to Play series of camps with Ed McCaffrey.  "Christian McCaffrey with Global Down Syndrome Foundation's Dare to Play Football Camp"
